Imagine yourself in a world with supportive like-minded women who lift your spirits with encouragement and instill confidence in your art. A place where you can find your creative voice, enhance your skills and remove a few artist’s blocks.

There will be lots of creative playtime during this long weekend getaway with women who love to make!
A few of the projects you will complete will be a painting (30”x30”), 'nook' painting, lovable felted creature and jewelry project.
Tiffany Foster Smith of the The Painted Jackalope will lead us in our painting time. Her art has been sold at the Country Living Fairs and featured in HGTV's Fixer to Fabulous show. She is a joy to be around and loves to help others discover their abilities.
You do not have to be an “artist” to participate. All levels are welcomed.
Follow along with the instructor or bring your own projects. This time is for you. We will be here to help in anyway we can. Like many of Tiffany’s other classes, you will have the freedom to choose your own color palette and/or subject matter for many of the projects. Please feel free to bring inspiring sketches and photographs. We encourage you to start an inspiration Pinterest board before your arrival. .

*A private Facebook group will be available to introduce yourself and meet others before the camp. You will be able to talk about travel arrangements before your trip such as sharing rides, hotels, etc.

The schedule is tentatively planned to give us some structure; however, God is ultimately in control so somethings might be moved, deleted or added. ♥

600pm- Meet & Greet with Appetizers & Drinks
700pm- Watch Tiffany Foster Smith create a painting start to finish. You are welcome to ask questions, take notes or video.
900pm- Late night painting, Independent Time-bring canvas, paper, paint, etc

900am- Art Session 1, Large Painting 30 x 30 with Tiffany Foster Smith

Meet Your Teachers
Tiffany Foster Smith with The Painted Jackalope
Tiffany is an artist and art teacher who lives in the tiny country town of St. Paul, Arkansas. Her art was born with a love of creating with aged wood, cracked paint and rusty metal. Each piece of art is unique, organic and perfect in its imperfections. She creates layer upon layers to give each piece texture, reminiscent of cracked and chipped paint to show a history and the artist’s hand. The pieces feel and look like they have weathered many storms, but that they are all the more beautiful because they endured.
Formally trained at the University of Arkansas, Tiffany received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education with emphasis in ceramics and painting. Tiffany is currently obtaining her Masters of Fine Arts degree from Savannah College of Art & Design. She has been teaching 7-12th grade Art in the Elkins school district for six years. Since 2016, Tiffany has been selling her art at various shows across the US including Country Living Show in Nashville & Columbus. Her artwork was also featured on HGTV's Fixer to Fabulous show this fall.
Lynnette Overstreet with Okies & Indies
Words Paint Pictures. They Are the Brush for the Imagination.
Wild flowers, prairie adventures, lazy pups, clear creeks and Will Rogers; these are a few of the things Lynnette grew up appreciating as a daughter of Okies. She was always encouraged to express what she saw through building projects in her Grandan's shop, a sketch pad, oil paints or the crafting of a story. Like most Okies, Lynnette has a heritage that ties her to native Americans. Music was also an inspiration as it always flowed through her house whether it was her mom playing the piano with her sister and brother or the occasional country band comprised of my parents' friends that would take over the living room filling an evening with music and laughter. She states, “A good work ethic was not an option, and all good things come from above from God who wanted to have a personal relationship with us. All of these things along with the heart of a wanderer who has fallen in love with India (a country I've traveled to several times) work together to bear fruit at Okies and Indies.”
Lynnette wants you to see reminders of hope in her pieces which are inspired by the scriptures in the Bible and the knowledge of what the Lord can show a girl from Oklahoma when He takes her around the world with a message to share.
Cheryl Walden Harris with Heart Strings
Cheryl is simply the Gertrude Vanderbilt of felting. Her whimsical creatures beg to be loved. Besides being a sculptress of fiber, Cheryl served in the Springdale School district for many years as an elementary art teacher. She loves gardening, paper collage, paper clay sculpting, painting, and upholstery. To sum it up, she is a gifted teacher who is able to help you bring your imagination to life.
